Sweet Dreams
Michelle Le
Floating in between our two worlds, I am becoming heavy. With his hand in mine, he looks into my eyes, they sparkle with secrets kept only between us. Falling down the rabbit hole, I am light. Across the rainbow and through the candy coated meadows, I’ve come to a world where I no longer fear, I no longer worry. I hug him tighter, the warmth bubbles up my chest like soda pop.
Up on a hill, we looked at the stars, and we both made a promise to keep each other in our hearts. I am heavy again. He pats me on the head and whispers, “sweet dreams jelly bean!”.
